It's been a while...

Since I did a blog post, but I really haven't had much to report and nothing I can really share although I have been doing heaps of scrapping!!!  Scrapbooking Memories Creative Team Challenge is completed and being posted off today.  I have done my two challenges for the ScrapGirls Retreat next month (still a few spots left)  Working on my class layout today, photo is printed and sketch is done I just have to put it all together (I want to get it finished today so I can take it up to show Kylie tomorrow when we go for a visit).  I am working on another project where I got some gorgeous new papers to play with, one layout totally completed and two just needing the finishing touches.
I have my Tarisota box sitting here and I am trying really hard not to break into it until I have these couple of things finished, but it is really hard not to touch it, it is soooooooooo scrummy!!!

Yesterday I was at my scrap table organizing for a busy day of scrapping when DH informs me that he is waiting on a phone call and he may have to go to Parramatta and that I need to go with him coz he needs my help.  I can tell you I was not impressed!!!  I actually yelled at him and told him I have deadlines and a full day of scrapping planned, he apologized and said that he really needed me to go with him, so reluctantly I went, very unimpressed I was.  Anyway we go to Marylands and pick up Graeme (a friend of DH's) and head off to Parramatta.  We pull up out the front of BikeBiz and go inside, I am lead to a motorbike bike and told "that's your early birthday present"... OMFG!!!  he bought me a brand new motorbike!!!  Apparently he had been doing some research and found one that he thought I would like and with a huge help from Graeme who is friends with a big boss we got a FAB deal.  DH had been looking at the 650 (which I already have) but they only come in white or silver...  I sat on one and had a look but it looked and felt so much smaller than mine.  I sat on the one next to it and it felt GOOD!!!  So that is the one I got.... I am now the proud owner of a Yamaha XVS1100 Classic, she is sooooooo gorgeous.  I rode her home from Parramatta and she rides like a dream, I am in heaven!!!  The only thing I NEED to do is get some new pipes because at the moment she sounds like a bloody sewing machine, I want some noise!!!  When I take her back for her 1000k service my new noisy pipes will be fitted.
here she is.......

Tracy's NEW Bike
Isn't she bewdiful :)  Oh and I got a sissy bar fitted for Lauren.

Kingston has fitted so well into the Wyldman family and he is such a little Mr Personality!!!  My other two dogs love him, especially Miss Lily.

I have all 3 kids home from school today sick... I have the damn flu, Alastair & Felicity are both all snuffled up and feel like crap, although they are well enough to play Playstation, go figure...  Lauren is feeling sick in the tummy and also burning up, so the grems are a starting in our household.  I think I might need to put a sign on the front door, Germs living here, enter at own risk.

Well that is about all from me, off to hang out my washing and do some scrapping
Have a great day

June at Tarisota...

The Tarisota gallery went up yesterday and I cannot believe how many gorgeous images are in there for you to be inspired by, there are over 280 images!!!
I am still in awe of the gorgeous collections that Tamar puts together month after month... When I first saw this collection in scared me, I was really anxious about getting this collection and working with it.... but I have to tell you that once I started I just wanted to keep on scrapping, every time I did something it inspired me to do more.  I am really happy with my creations for this month, I really do love the fact that I am taken out of my comfort zone using products not in my usual style.  This reiterates my thoughts about scrapbooking that you are only as creative as your imagination allows you to be, seriously... purchase a kit and break out of your comfort zone, I think you will amaze yourself...  OK enough rambling, here are a few of my projects...

The Green Door
This layout was based on a song title and lyrics... I love how this one turned out and what a great photo of my lovely friend Kylie...

And another of Miss Fliss and my mobile phone, she is on it any chance she gets, she is always asking me when she can have her own mobile phone, my answer to that is when she gets a job, the way she likes to talk I don't want to pay her phone bill!!!

Luv 2 chat
Seriously grab yourself a cuppa and go over to the Tarisota Gallery for a look, you will be inspired

have a GREAT day

Where has the time gone...

My goodness almost half the year has gone already!!!!  Before we know it it will me coming up to Christmas (yep I just swore) LOL
Lots been happening round here as well as heaps of scrapping but nothing to share I'm afraid... My latest Scrapbooking Memories projects have just been completed and posted in, they were a big achievement for me this month, but I am really happy with the final results.
Last weekend Kylie & the kids came and played for the whole weekend, we had a great time and got heaps accomplished, I cannot believe Kylie got so much done, yay for her!!!
Only 6 weeks until the ScrapGirls retreat, woo hoo!!!  I am so looking forward to this, we had the bestest time last year (Kylie you are NOT allowed to get sick this year) and the home cooked meals were just delicious.  There are still some spots left if you would like to come and play.  I had best get my class sample done!!!
My Munchkins have their Karate grading tonight, they are going for orange belt first green tip (9KYU), which is about half way through rankings.
Lauren is off to see Sex and the City tonight with her friend Steph, I am not interested, not a show I got into.
We had an incident with the kids on Wednesday afternoon on their school bus where some drunk managed to sneek onto the bus and scare the crap out of all the kids, according to my two he swore real bad using the 'F' word and the 'C' word heaps, he was drunk and on drugs... Our bus driver is just awesome... he was straight onto the two-way for back up and the police were called, he was arrested and charged, but my kids are not comfortable with catching the bus at the moment... I will try them again next week, no rush, when they are ready.
Saturday saw us loose one of our pets, our duck Puddles passed away, he was almost 16 years old, according to our vet he was ancient... but our other duck is fretting for him, I don't know what to do, we don't want to get another duck.
This week also saw Jess & Lily at the vets with coughs... It seems the dogs that have been running up and down our street of late have passed on some throat virus that is highly contagious.  Jess started coughing on Saturday and we took her to the vets on Tuesday, she was put on anti-biotics and anti-inflammatries, then Wednesday Lily started coughing, so yesterday she went to the vets and is now on anti-biotics and anti-inflammatries.  I had to warn both my neighbours so as they can be aware too.  Grrrr... makes me made when people let their animals run free, not only is it dangerous but things like this happen and my furbabies get sick, but it also costs a fortune at the vets!!!
Well that is about all from me for now...
Have a GREAT day

What a weekend...

My weekend started early with Sherri arriving at my house around 11am on Friday, we packed my car and headed off to La-Peruse...  We were the first to arrive so we unpacked the car and had a coffee.  About half an hour later Kylie & Chantelle arrived, we helped them unpack the car and get settled and headed off to East Gate shopping centre... WOW it was huge... We had lunch and did a little shopping and got some supplies for the weekend, then it was back to the unit for some scrapping!!!  This is the view from the verandah...

View_from_the_verandah

Isn't it spectacular!!!  We spent heaps of time on the verandah drinking coffee, chatting, laughing, drinking, more chatting and lots more laughter!!!  It was just sooooo relaxing.

Friday night we walked down to the pizza shop and got a take away pizza and back to the unit for pizza and a girly movie and some more scrapping.

Saturday saw us do heaps of scrapping, we stayed in for lunch, did some more scrapping and then we went for a walk, probably gone for a couple of hours but it was wonderful, we had a great time... We asked the occassional 'tourist' to take a group photo of us girls, then we had fun setting up the camera and timer to do it ourselves, many a laugh was had doing this.  Heres one...

Bear_island

This was on Bear Island... what a lovely little place to spend an afternoon, my kids would love it here and it makes for an awesome background for photos.

Back at the unit it was time for some more scrapping and a few drinks... We decided to go out for dinner and chose Thai... This was the first time I had eaten Thai, but I have to say the food was delicious and the service was fabo!!!  Richard looked after us really well, he was so sweet....  here's us at dinner, it was a sidewalk cafe type of thing...

Out_to_dinner

back at the unit, yep we did some more scrapping and had a bit of a photo shoot, oh my did this send us into giggles...  we hammed it up and had so much fun...  heres one of the more serious photos...  I had a play in photoshop...

Us_girls

I actually shocked myself this weekend, those that know me know that I rarely actually scrap on a scrap weekend away, BUT I completed almost 10 layouts for my photo-a-day album!!!  Woo Hoo for me!!!  I suppose I should share a couple...

Mid week catchup...

Saturday Kylie and Connor came for a visit, Shanice had a Dad day with Anthony.  We chatted and played and went shopping and just had the bestest day, they stayed for dinner and left about 10 o'clock.  We took some great photos of the kids and Lauren took one of Kylie and me (will upload later).  We got a few things organized for the ScrapGirls retreat in July (there are still 6 spots available if you would like to come).  All in all it was a really lovely day.  I love spending time with this lady, she is just awesome!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful mother day :)  I sure did!!!  My kids asked me what my wish for the day was and I say "for you lot not to fight"... Well they did it!!!  No fighting at all for the whole day, I was so proud of them.
I got very spoilt... A gorgeous sapphire and diamond necklace, and new wallet (which was perfect timing and mine just fell to pieces), and chocolate cookbook and a cupcake, cheesecake and biscuit recipe book, a beautiful massager and a gorgeous photo frame, all very scrummy.
We had a P'Jamma day and played Super Nintendo, laughted a lot, cried a bit but we thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Only two day to go until 5 of us head off to La-peruse for a weekend full of scrapping!!!  I am sooooooo looking forward to this, we have the perfect accommodation with amazing views and the best bunch of friends a girl could ask for.
I will upload piccies next week, although I warn you you will be jealous that you weren't there.

I am working on some projects for Scrapbooking Memories and also on my photo-a-day album... I am a tad behind on this but all is good and I will get caught up.

Speaking of Scrapbooking Memories I have my Multi-Photo feature in the current issue Vol 10 No 1... I am so pleased with all of my layouts for this, it was a challenge but one I did really enjoy....  I am a tad disappointed that you don't get the full effect of some of my layouts in the magazine, some of them needed to be shown open as well as the finished product, never mind... Here are a couple of them to share on my blog...

The_beach_08

I think this is my favourite, I just love the way this one turned out...

Playtime_08

A great way to use up lots of photos and tell a story...

Hugs_kisses_08_2

The layout closed....

Hugs_kisses_open_08_2

And the layout open....

I have both my girls home today with sore throats and Felicity has almost lost her voice, although it is not necessarily a bad thing, LOL... because boy oh boy can she talk, she probably could talk under water with a mouthful of concrete my girl, but I love her to pieces and wouldn't change her for quids!!!

Well I am off to hang out my next load of washing on this glorious Autumn day, and then get some scrapping done.

Have  a GREAT day

May at Tarisota...

The gallery is up over at Tarisota... and it looks AWESOME!!!  Totally LURVED playing with this months collection, it seemed to go on forever and there was definitely no running out of products!!!!  The Pink paisley alpha stamps are just so cool... So much you can do with them...

Here are some layouts from me....

This photo is from our holiday at Coffs Harbor last month, the kids had such a lovely time and the beach and weather was just perfect.

What a difference a day makes...

This morning I ventured down my Craft Room to do a little more on cleaning it out... time got away from me and.... well a couple of hours turned into the whole day ;)
When I opened the door my Craft room looked like this.....

Scrap_room_messy

And after the day of sorting, cleaning and chucking out, I finished the day with this...

A_scrap_room_cleaner

There is still a lot of work to be done in there, but it is a start and at least now I can get in the door.  Might have a bit more of a go tomorrow... I have the urge to get it back to my craft room and for it to loose it's current title of "the crap room"...

Here is a piccie of the stuff I chucked out today...

Rubbish_from_crap_room

I cannot believe I kept all that stuff for so long, LOL

After seeing all my sewing projects, I soooooo want to get back into patchwork!!!  I can feel a shopping spree coming on :)

Enjoy the rest of your evening
